WORK EXPERIENCE:
Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona.
2007- 2008 Program Assistant (spring 2007), Program Coordinator (fall 2007 – present) NAU Park Ranger Training Program. Assist the director with running the Park Ranger Training Program including managing the instructional website in Vista.
2007- 2008 Adjunct Instructor – PES department Teach 1-3 fitness courses per semester. Includes putting course material, tests and student evaluations in the Vista Shell.
2007 - 2008 Adjunct Instructor – Parks and Recreation Management degree program. Taught PRM 252 and PRM 426 in fall 2007. Scheduled to teach PRM 383, PRM 426 and PRM 498C in spring 2008. Teach both in the classroom and online courses. Took 3 courses and set them up in Vista.
Glacier National Park, West Glacier, Montana.
2006, 2007, 2008 (Summer) Park Ranger, National Park Service. One season as a front country ranger doing road patrol, search and rescue, fire fighting, EMS calls, bear management and law enforcement. One season as a backcountry ranger performing foot, horse and boat patrol, maintaining a back country ranger station, maintaining backcountry campsites, bear management, law enforcement, customs and immigration officer.
Fishlake National Forest. Beaver, Utah.
2005 (Summer) Wildlife Technician, US Forest Service, Fishlake National Forest. Monitored species of interest on the forest such as goshawks, pygmy rabbits, flamulated owls, sage grouse, elk, and 3-toed woodpeckers. Wrote BA, BE, and MIS reports. Used GPS and mapping software to draw maps of areas and locations surveyed and import tracks and locations to those maps from GPS units.
Zion National Park, Springdale, Utah
2005 (Spring) Volunteer back country ranger, 20 hours per week. Worked at the back country desk issuing permits 50% of the time and patrolled back country trails 50% of the time.

1999-2004. Head Archery Coach, Athletic Department. 5 time overall national champions with multiple All-Americans, National Champions, and World Champions. Responsible for a $270,000 budget per year.
1992 - 1999. Lecturer, Kinesiology Department and Co-coach for club archery team. Responsibilities included teaching racquetball (beginning and intermediate), handball, archery (beginning, intermediate and majors), sailing, and venture dynamics. Coordinator for 18 archery classes. Authored a book on walking which is still in print. Acquired a grant to develop a youth archery club in town.
1991-1992. Lecturer, Kinesiology Department, Koriyama Branch Campus, Koriyama, Japan. Lecturer for softball, ski conditioning, soccer, floor hockey, fitness & conditioning, venture dynamics, weight training, basketball, archery, and Health 231 (Healthy Lifestyles). Developed and implemented a cycling course. Developed and supervised campus weight room. Intramurals coordinator for faculty, staff, and students. Advisor to Canoe, Ski, Volleyball, Baseball, Tennis, and Golf Clubs. During summer of 1992 responsible for course scheduling, teaching, registration of students, equipment purchase, facilities and equipment management and maintenance.

1997-2004 (summers and fall 2004). Leader – self-contained mountain biking trips ranging from 8 to 75 days in length along the continental divide including one trip from Canada to Mexico. In 2004 led the southern tier self contained road ride from San Diego to St. Augustine, FL (65 days)
