Once you've decided which coursess you'd like to take, there are eight steps to becoming an NAU Online student.

NAU Distance Learning is the virtual campus of Northern Arizona University which provides you with access to web based courses.
When you click your mouse on the links below, you'll be taken to NAU Distance Learning in a new window.

Step 1: Become an NAU Distance Learning Student (Apply for non-degree seeking admissions). If you are already enrolled at NAU,
skip to step 2.

Step 2: Choose the courses you want to take. NAU Distance Learning lists other courses available via the web.

Step 3: Make sure you meet the technical requirements of the course(s) you plan to take. These requirements are listed on the
help page within each course.

Step 4: View the current registration fees to see how much it will cost. You will be asked to pay when you register (step 5).
Non-resident fees apply to anyone whose permanent residence is outside of the state of Arizona.

Step 5: Register for your Course(s)

Step 6: Await Registration Notification. You will receive confirmation of your successful registration in the course(s) via email
or first class/airmail within ten days. If you do not receive notification within ten working days of registration, or if you have
questions about the registration process, contact NAU Statewide Programs at:

Step 7: Order Your Textbooks online from the NAU Bookstore. Check the "Syllabus" area of each course for which you
registered to find out about required textbooks and other materials.

Step 8: Start Your Course(s)
Your registration letter will include the URL (internet address) for the course(s) you enrolled in. Courses my not be accessible
until the first day of class.

Enroll now to join the PRM Certificate program.
