Students may select ONE (1) of the following extra credit options for a possible total of five points.
Deadline for Extra Credit: Friday, April 19 by midnight
1) Public (Municipal) Recreation Related Public Meeting
Attend any public park and recreation meeting (Coconino County Parks and Recreation Department or Flagstaff Recreation Department) which may include a commission or board meeting, focus group, or public planning meeting and then submit a one page report (via email) on the issue and outcome of the meeting.
Flagstaff Area Park and Recreation Commission meeting dates:

Coconino County Parks and Recreation Commission meetings are at 4:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month in the Supervisors Meeting Room at Cherry Street. | |

Flagstaff Recreation Department Commission meeting are at 4:00 PM on the third Wednesday of the month at the Aquaplex on 4th street. | |
|
Other public park and recreation meetings may be substituted for the above with the permission of the course instructor. |

Students may volunteer for the Dew which is a
snowboarding event in downtown Flagstaff. The
event is on Saturday, February 9th and Sunday, February 10th.
Flagstaff Recreation Services need volunteers on Saturday between the hours of
8a-8:30p and Sunday between the hours of 7am-3pm. Duties would include handing
out flyers, handouts, picking up trash, directing people to parking areas.
Volunteers will work in shifts of 3-4 hours.
