Sample Capital Budget

Below is an example of a Capital Budget format. Capital budget items will vary with each business. A capital expense will only appear in the year it is projected to be purchased. Capital budgets are usually 3-5 years in the future.

* Include at least four capital items.

CAUTION: Be sure to submit this budget in an Excel file. The single Excel file should have one tab for the 12 Month O&M budget and a second tab for the Capital budget.
