This is to confirm our receipt of your Sedona St. Patrick's Day parade entry
form. We will be sending you a Parade Entry Packet after March 1st.
TIME LINE
INFORMATION:
7:30
am Parade Line-Up begins
7:00 am Shamrocks in the Red Rocks registration begins
8:00 am Shamrocks in the Red Rocks race begins
9:55 am Final participant shuttle to the staging area
10:00 am ALL PARADE ENTRANTS MUST BE IN LINE AT STAGING AREA
10:30 am Parade Begins
12:00 pm Parade Ends
IMPORTANT PARADE INFORMATION: Due to the lack of parking, the
congestion in the Parade Staging Area, and to simplify your departure at the end
of the parade, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!!!
PARADE PARKING: NO PARADE PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE
JORDAN HISTORICAL PARK. All parade participants must park in the Wayside Chapel
parking lot on Mountain View Drive (next to the Sedona Municipal public parking
area off Schnebly Road) and take the FREE shuttle to the staging area, for your
convenience. Parade staff will be there for assistance. Shuttles will be
provided for all parade participants from the parade parking areas beginning at
7:30am. SPACE IS LIMITED.
HORSE ENTRY INFORMATION: Please park your vehicles & trailers
and unload your horses in the dirt lot at the Navihopi and Jordan Road
intersection. Jordan road is closed to
traffic at 6:30 am, so to get to Jordan Historical Park; from 89A turn on
Forest; turn right on Van Deren or Smith; turn right on Navihopi, cross Jordan
Road into the dirt parking lot. A parade staff member will be there to direct you. Proceed to the
equestrian staging area just across the bridge from Jordan
Historical Park. Another
parade staff member will be there to direct you (see map). At the end of the Parade, equestrian
entries will return to their parking area via Van Deren Rd. to Navahopi Rd. The
Parade Committee will provide a horse clean-up detail for all equestrian
entries.
FLOAT & VEHICLE ENTRY INFORMATION:
Floats and vehicles participating in the parade may drive to the parade staging
area at Jordan Historical Park. Jordan road
is closed to traffic at 6:30 am, so to get to Jordan Historical Park; from 89A
turn on Forest; turn right on Van Deren or Smith; turn right on Navihopi, turn
left on Jordan Road. We will have parade staff directing traffic in the area. Please have
your float crews ride on the float/parade vehicle to the staging area. NO
PARKING IS AVAILABLE for non-parade vehicles at the staging area. Please park
all non-parade vehicles in the Wayside Chapel parking lot on Mountain View Drive
(next to the Sedona Municipal public parking area off Schnebly Road) and take
the FREE shuttle to the staging area. Staging begins at 7:30am. Please carpool!
BAND ENTRY INFORMATION: Band buses may proceed to the staging
area at Jordan Historical Park.
Jordan road is closed to traffic at 6:30 am, so to get to Jordan Historical
Park; from 89A turn on Forest; turn right on Smith; turn right on Navihopi, turn
left on Jordan Road. After
unloading, in the bus-turn-around loop, please go to the reserved bus parking
area (see parade staff for directions).
MARCHING/WALKING/DOG UNITS INFORMATION: Everyone marching or
walking in the parade MUST park in the Wayside Chapel parking lot on Mountain
View Drive (next to the Sedona Municipal public parking area off Schnebly Road)
and take the FREE shuttle to the staging area. Please carpool!
Notice to ALL ENTRANTS. In the case
of an emergency you are required to give way for any emergency vehicle.
THE PHYSICAL HANDOUT AND DISTRIBUTION OF CANDY BY
PARTICIPANTS IS ALLOWED AND ENCOURAGED. ALL CANDY MUST BE IN ORIGINAL
WRAPPERS. THROWING CANDY IS NOT ALLOWED, BY REQUEST OF THE CITY OF SEDONA POLICE
DEPARTMENT.
