St. Patrick's Day Festival

The date of the 2005 St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival is Saturday, March 12. Festivities will begin at 9:00 AM on Jordan Rd between Apple & Mesquite.

Verde Valley Rentals are under contract to provide the materials for the Festival. Contact person, Scott 928-634-8531. See attached contract.

 
Verde Valley Rentals will begin the setup in Sacajawea parking lot at 11:00 AM on Friday 3/11/05. A representative from the Green Team must be available to close off the east half of the lot and supervise the setup. SEE attached
diagram. Water will be needed to fill canopy support barrels, 55 gallons each. Hoses will be supplied by Verde Valley Rentals
 
Grandstands will be set up on the east side of Jordan Rd. They will be placed north of and to clear the entrance to Rollies Camera Shop parking lot. The two entrances to Sacajawea parking lot will be cleared with sufficient space to allow emergency vehicle access. (12 feet min). After the parade, Jordan Rd will remain closed from the north side of Rollies parking lot entrance to Apple until 2:00 PM. Do not remove the grandstands before 2:00 PM or until the crowd dicipates.

The (Main Street Program) Fender PA system will be used for the parade and set up on the west side of Jordan Rd, across from the grandstands. ONE TABLE & THREE CHAIRS will be needed. Speaker stands are included in the Fender package. Power for the Fender PA will be supplied by the Safari Jeep Tour office, west side of Jordan Rd. Contact person, Val 300-9076. A 100 foot,12 gauge electrical extension cord will be needed. At 9:00 AM, a CD (player & Disc is supplied with unit) will begin playing Irish music until 10:00 AM. One (1) wireless mic will be needed for the announcer. We have a Technics wireless available (unbalanced ¼" connecter). After the parade ends, around 11:30 AM, the Fender unit will be taken down and returned to the Main Street Office. Audio Tec, Ed Crick 602-397-3082.

 
When the parade ends the Knock-About's band will immediately begin their act. This will take place across the street behind the grandstands in the Sacajawea parking lot.

The Knock-About's will play until 1:00 PM. Contact person, John Mc Greger 928-863-0188. Audio Tec, Ron Barton 928-522-7053. The "Irish Pipers of Sedona" will perform until 1:30 PM. Contact person, Joe Tulley 282-4786. The "Harmony On The Rock" quartet will entertain until 2:00 PM. Contact person, Charlie Lyman 204-9296. The bandstand is a 15" riser 8' x16' with a 10'x20' canopy over it and is located on the west side of the parking lot. Power for the PA equipment will be supplied by Jericho Construction, north of the stage area. Contact person, Jerry 862-0375. A 100 foot,12 gauge electrical extension cord will be needed. The canopies, bandstand, tables, chairs, etc. will be in place the evening of 3/11 (5:00 PM).
 
The bouncing castle will be operated by generator.
 
Table covering for sixteen (16) 3'x 8' tables will be the responsibility of NAU students.
 
With Jordan Rd closed, the area between the north entrance of Sacajawea and Apple is about 90'x 43'.
