EDUCATION Begin with the highest degree you have obtained and work backwards, name the degree, major, school, location, date of graduation (or expected), and G.P.A. if it is over 3.0. Include all junior colleges, training and service schools, etc. Do not include high school diploma.

WORK EXPERIENCE Begin with the most recent position and work backwards. You should include the employing organization, position title, location, and a brief description of your duties and responsibilities (use action verbs), the dates employed (use the year and indicate if it is a summer, example; 1997 {summer}).

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE Even though you may not have been paid for your endeavors, volunteer experience can reap a reward on your resume with potential employers. Include only experiences that directly relate to the type of job you are
applying for using the same format as Work Experience.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS List your memberships in national organizations first (NRPA, AAHPER, RCRA, etc.), regional organizations next, and state and local organizations last.

CERTIFICATIONS / AWARDS List any certifications such as WSI, CPR, Wilderness First Responder (WFR), etc., and/or any special awards or honors that you have received give the certifying or awarding agency and the name of the certification or award and the date it was given (use only current certifications).

SPECIAL SKILLS These may include language proficiencies, technical skills, or other abilities that may enhance your resume.

INTERESTS List your favorite activities such as hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, rug hooking, painting, photography, weight training etc..

REFERENCES List three references, usually one or two of your professors and your current employer, giving their name, address, title, and phone number.
