Assignment 4 & 5 - Camp Field Trip Activity

Camp Field Trip:

The class will be attending Sky-Y, a YMCA camp in Prescott. The dates of Friday and Saturday, April 17 & 18 have already been scheduled so please mark your calendar, as it is a required trip and 35% of your grade. ( DRAFT DUE APRIL 14)

All camp fees are covered through class fees at time of registration and transportation will be provided.  Students will be placed in groups for the field trip. Each group will be responsible for programming a camp activity. Groups will be graded on the planning and implementation of each activity. A draft of the activity will be required one week prior to the field trip. 

Field Trip Review: 

A typed and double-spaced Review of your camp experience will be DUE April 21 in class or you may e-mail it as a MicroSoft Word doc.attachment to Judith.Hammersley@nau.edu , or drop it off in my office, SBS West Rm 258  Your review should include a summary of your field trip camp experience and an evaluation (letter grade, A, B, etc.) on each of your group members regarding their planning and implementation efforts within the group.

CAMP ACTIVITY GROUP ASSIGNMENTS

A draft of your planned activities will be required in class on Tuesday April 14.  Any equipment or supply list should be included. Please have a back-up plan just in case the Camp is unable to accommodate our requests.  Your grade for this assignment will be determined by an average score of grades submitted by each person in the class, the instructor and your final written summary of your camp experience.  

ATTENTION: Below are times for things that are already scheduled and cannot be changed.  All the programs above should be scheduled around these times.
