In further response to your note below, I want to let you know that Cornville Community Association Board Members met on May 14 with Chip Davis, Yavapai County Supervisor and a few County staff members; and Heather Provencio, Red Rock District Ranger for the Forest Service.  At that time, we received a positive reaction to our strategy to initially work with NAU to develop a vision and preliminary plan for our potential park ... viewed by Heather as a necessary "first step" no matter what acquisition option might someday be used.  Chip Davis agreed, but expressed trepidation about building false expectations as we go along and emphasized the need for "fiscal responsibility" in whatever the County does.  Everyone understands the many hurdles--legal, environmental, political, fiscal, etc.  We are at the beginning of a long process.

 

So, the Association would like to proceed and talk to you further about getting a class to help us out.
