The 38th Annual Sedona St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 15th is drawing near. A map of the staging area and parade route and a parade evaluation form has been included for your information. Your line-up number, which must be displayed in clear sight on the right side of your entry (for judging purposes), will be provided at Wayside Chapel parking lot and the Parade Staging Area the morning of the parade. Due to continued limited parking, please carpool to the parade.

Following the parade this year will be the 3rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Festival! The festival will begin immediately after the Parade until 3:00 pm in Sacajawea Plaza. There will be food and refreshments, a beer garden, children’s activities and live music to enjoy!

On behalf of the Sedona St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, I would like to thank you for your support in making this year's parade a real community success. Let's be safe and have fun!

IMPORTANT PARADE INFORMATION- PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ CAREFULLY!

TIME LINE INFORMATION (Saturday, March 15th):

7:30 am Parade Line-Up begins
7:30 am Shamrocks in the Red Rocks registration begins
8:30 am Shamrocks in the Red Rocks race begins
9:55 am Final participant shuttle to the staging area
10:00am ALL PARADE ENTRANTS MUST BE IN LINE AT STAGING AREA
10:30 am Parade Begins
12:00 pm Parade Ends

Awards will be given out at the Festival stage immediately following the parade. Please have one person from your group check with the judges to determine if you have won an award.

Due to the lack of parking, to reduce the congestion in the Parade Staging Area, and to simplify your departure, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!!!

PARADE PARKING: NO PARADE PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE JORDAN HISTORICAL PARK. All parade participants must park in the Wayside Chapel parking lot on Mountain View Drive (next to the Sedona Municipal public parking area off Schnebly Road) and take the FREE shuttle to the staging area, for your convenience. Parade staff will be there for assistance. Shuttles will be provided for all parade participants from the parade parking areas beginning at 7:30am. SPACE IS LIMITED.

HORSE ENTRY INFORMATION: Please park your vehicles & trailers and unload your horses in the dirt lot at the Navihopi and Jordan Road intersection.
Jordan road is closed to traffic at 6:30 am, so to get to Jordan Historical Park; from 89A turn on Forest; turn right on Van Deren or Smith; turn right on Navihopi, cross Jordan Road into the dirt parking lot. A parade staff member will be there to direct you. Proceed to the equestrian staging area just across the bridge from Jordan Historical Park. Another parade staff member will be there to direct you (see map). At the end of the Parade, equestrian entries will return to their parking area via Van Deren Rd. to Navahopi Rd. The Parade Committee will provide a horse clean-up detail for all equestrian entries.

FLOAT & VEHICLE ENTRY INFORMATION: Floats and vehicles participating in the parade may drive to the parade staging area at Jordan Historical Park. Jordan road is closed to traffic at 6:30 am, so to get to Jordan Historical Park; from 89A turn on Forest; turn right on Van Deren or Smith; turn right on Navihopi, turn left on Jordan Road. We will have parade staff directing traffic in the area. Please have your float crews ride on the float/parade vehicle to the staging area. NO PARKING IS AVAILABLE for non-parade vehicles at the staging area. Please park all non-parade vehicles in the Wayside Chapel parking lot on Mountain View Drive (next to the Sedona Municipal public parking area off Schnebly Road) and take the FREE shuttle to the staging area. Staging begins at 7:30am. Please carpool!

BAND ENTRY INFORMATION: Band buses may proceed to the staging area at Jordan
Historical Park. Jordan road is closed to traffic at 6:30 am, so to get to Jordan Historical Park; from 89A turn on Forest; turn right on Smith; turn right on Navihopi, turn left on Jordan Road. After unloading, in the bus-turn-around loop, please go to the reserved bus parking area (see parade staff for directions).

MARCHING/WALKING/DOG UNITS INFORMATION: Everyone marching or walking in the parade must park in the Wayside Chapel parking area (the corner of Schnebly and Mountain View) and take the FREE trolley (courtesy of Sedona Trolley) to the staging area. Please carpool to reduce traffic congestion. After the parade, please return to Wayside Chapel parking area by continuing straight down Jordan and taking a left at 89A.

DISTRIBUTION OF HANDOUTS AND/OR CANDY IS ENCOURAGED. CANDY IS TO BE HANDED OUT AND NOT THROWN FROM FLOATS OR VEHICLES (By request of the Sedona Police Department). ALL CANDY MUST BE IN ORIGINAL WRAPPERS!

Handouts (candy or printed material) should be placed at the back of the vehicle or float. A child in Florida was killed when trying to re-supply his candy to hand out in a parade from the side of the float and was run over.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed in the Staging Areas or Parade before or during the event.

Note: All Parade entries are to keep moving along the parade route. Entries that stop along the route can create large gaps and disrupt the flow of the parade. Your entry may perform in the grandstand/judging area (2 minutes maximum time allowed).
