39th Annual Sedona St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Festival – Road Race
* Coordinated by Sedona Main Street Program, the Special Event Planning Class of NAU Park & Recreation Management Program & “The Green Team” of Sedona Community volunteers
* Parade Title Sponsor: Barking Frog & Cowboy Club Restaurants
* Festival Title Sponsor: A Day in the West
* Over the Rainbow Sponsor: Sedona Chamber of Commerce
* Pot O’ Gold Sponsor: Joe Wilcox Family of Stores; Sedona Fudge Company
* Road Race: 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk in Uptown hosted by NAU Special Event Class
* Parade Theme 2009: We Lads & Lasses: A Celebration of Youth & the Young at Heart
* Activity Date/Times: Saturday, March 14; Road Race at 8:30 a.m. (registration at 8 am – corner Mesquite Jordan); Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. (Entry line up 8 -10 a.m.); Festival until 3:00 p.m.
* Parade Route: Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona - begins at Jordan Historical Park/Sedona Heritage Museum on Jordan Rd, proceeds south on Jordan Rd to Mesquite and disperses
* Festival Location: Jordan Road in Uptown at Sacajawea Plaza & BR Clinic/Sun Building Parking Lots
* Parade Entries (maximum 70) Cost: Business - $100 each; Non-profits & others - $25 each;
NEW CATEGORY - Combined business sponsor with a youth group or non-profit - $75 each
Applications available Feb. 1 (via website & fax) and mailed directly to participants in 2008
First come, first serve; Entry application deadline is February 23

Best Float Award: highest total points for Float entry
Best Vehicle Award: highest points total points for Vehicle entry
Clown Award: highest points for Clown entry
Color Guard Award: highest total points for Color Guard
Best Equestrian Color Guard: highest total points for Color Guard on horseback
Drill Team Award: highest total points for Drill team entry
Best Marching Unit: highest score for Marching Unity
Best Dance Unit: highest score given to a Dance Unit entry
Equestrian Award: highest total points for an Equestrian entry
Outstanding Marching Band: highest total points for a School Marching Band
Best Musical Entry: highest total points for Musical entry
Unique Award: highest total points given for Unique entry (entry not in above categories)
Shamrock Award: highest total points for a Business Entry
St. Patrick’s Award: highest total points for Irish theme & musical combination
